Summary of job description:

 

This position works closely with Supply Chain, Facilities, Quality and External Suppliers to manage and control inventory of material to support Laboratory Operations and Quality Control release testing. This position is based at the Milton Park facility.

This position is based in our Milton Park location and typically has a 5-day on-site expectation.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

 

The Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for seamless supply of materials to support laboratory operations and Quality Control release testing of product at the Milton Park facility. The responsibilities of the Supply Chain Planner include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop warehouse inventory system and resupply requirements in line with production schedule.
  • Assist with the generation of part numbers for materials.
  • Assist with the generation of material specifications.
  • Liaise with Warehouse, Manufacturing and Finance to ensure supply of materials are available per production schedule for quality control release testing requirements.
  • Request quotes from vendors based on production plan and testing schedules. Generate purchase requisition in ERP system.  Manage requisition approvals for purchase order creation.
  • Track purchase orders to ensure delivery prior to need by date.
  • Manage inventory and the transfer chemicals / consumables to support laboratory operations per forecast and consumption.

 

Other responsibilities

  • Assist Finance to establish safety stocks for single sourced components.
  • Support the facilities team in the day-to-day operation of the Milton Park facility.
  • Liaise with multiple functions to establish alternate suppliers.
  • Manager cycle count program.
  • Assist with investigations, deviations, CAPAs and Change Controls representing Supply Chain.

Qualifications

Educational requirements:

 

  •       BSc or equivalent minimum requirement.

 

Experience and skill requirement:

 

  • Minimum 2 years supply chain experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of using ERP systems.
  • Team player has a high level of flexibility and will work toward common goals inter-departmentally and cross-functionally.
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Computer literacy (including MS Office, Word, and Excel)
