Overview

The Executive Director, Head of Procurement and Vendor Management will lead the end-to-end procurement and vendor management process at Replimune. This will include the set-up and ongoing review of strategic outsourcing partnerships across the organization supporting but not limited to R&D, manufacturing and commercial. This is a highly visible and collaborative role responsible for developing and implementing fit-for-purpose procurement and vendor management solutions that ensure operational excellence and cost effectiveness while adhering to GxP practices.  This is a hands-on role requiring a leader to drive strategy, manage day-to-day operations and is accountable for developing and mentoring a high functioning team.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end procurement, strategic sourcing and vendor management process with cross-functional colleagues including but not limited to Legal, Finance, Quality, IT and relevant business functions (e.g., Clinical Operations, Manufacturing, Commercial)
    • Ensure end – to – end process is established and cross-functionally aligned
    • Implement fit-for-purpose best practices and tools for Replimune to inform competitive relationships and manage risk
    • Help business stakeholders navigate vendor selection / RFP, on-boarding and management process within Replimune
    • Continue to work with cross-functional teams to ensure process is working and continuously optimized
  • Establish best practices for vendor relationship management and oversight in conjunction with business owners
  • Ensure vendor oversight and proactive performance management of key vendors in alignment with both GxP practices and organizational goals

Qualifications

Experience and skill requirement:

  • 10+ years in procurement, strategic contracting / outsourcing and vendor management with at least 5 years in leadership roles (head of function or direct report to the head of the function)
  • Experience building and optimizing processes
  • 5+ years of biopharma experience, including significant familiarity with relevant GxP regulations and partners required
  • Excellence leadership skills, strategic thinking and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to lead function build-out and strategy and drive day-to-day activities and process
