Job Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the development, implementation and governance of our company's technology and data architecture to deliver value. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the company's data strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and driving innovation and excellence in our technology platforms.  The Enterprise Architect will help design and execute the data governance and strategies as Replimune moves to a Commercial entity.   

 

Directly reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, the Enterprise Architect will influence overall IT priorities and expedite time to market for key initiatives.  The ideal candidate will possess the ability to articulate complex architectural concepts in a clear, business-oriented manner, driving alignment and securing buy-in from diverse stakeholders.

In addition to technical expertise, the role requires strong interpersonal, business and communication skills to effectively engage with and influence Replimune Executives and leaders. You will oversee the architecture for key initiatives, ensuring alignment with our overarching information architecture standards and roadmap. You will also play the key role in establishing data governance and advancing the data culture at Replimune by promoting data architecture best practices and articulating its value to stakeholders.  The role requires deep expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks, technology, and systems integration.

 

Must have significant experience within the Pharmaceutical/biotech industry and managing GxP data and applications.

 

 

 

This position can be based in our either our Woburn or Framingham office and welcomes hybrid work! Local candidates are expected to be on-site 3 days per week.  *This position will travel between the 2 local offices each week.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

  • Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and security across the organization. This includes defining data ownership, standards, and best practices. Ability to influence peers and subordinates to modify behaviors and provide support for the adoption of data governance policies. Promote a culture of data literacy and accountability across the organization, empowering stakeholders to effectively utilize data as a strategic asset.
  • Master Data Management (MDM) Strategy: Develop and maintain an MDM strategy that defines how to manage key entities (such as customers, products, and vendors) within the ecosystem. Provide technical guidance to the team on MDM best practices and assist in troubleshooting data-related issues within Veeva, Oracle and related platforms.
  • Architecture Leadership: Establish technical architecture principles – develop and maintain technical documentation, including data dictionaries, process maps and system architecture diagrams. Provide architectural leadership and direction, ensuring that all technology solutions are designed, documented, reviewed and implemented in accordance with the company's technology strategy and architecture standards.
  • Technology Roadmap: Develop and maintain a technology roadmap that outlines the company's technology plans and priorities with measurable milestones and outcomes, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Technology Governance: Establish and maintain technology governance processes, ensuring that all technology investments are properly evaluated, prioritized, and aligned with the company's technology strategy.
  • Innovation: Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, ensuring that the company stays ahead of the curve in terms of technology innovation and adoption.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate and communicates with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners, to ensure that technology solutions meet business requirements, are properly integrated with existing systems and align with organizational goals. Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technology risks, ensuring that the company's technology platforms are secure, reliable, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Analytics: Lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics solutions, including predictive and prescriptive analytics.
  • Integration Solutions: Create integration strategies that allow data to flow seamlessly between enterprise systems. This includes identifying and implementing appropriate tools and technologies for effective data exchange.

Qualifications

Education:   

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core proficiencies for the role.

 

Required Experience: 

  • Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP, Enterprise Data Warehouses
  • Extensive experience in varies facets of IT and enterprise architecture – including at least 10 years of professional experience in technical roles related to IT or Enterprise Architecture.
  • DevOps: Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including Agile, Scrum, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Expertise in establishing and maintaining enterprise architecture frameworks, standards and best practices aligned with TOGAF, Zachman, or other methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills as well as strong analytical, presentation, and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences and foster a data-driven culture within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic thinking - Ability to turn strategy into action, to see the big picture and use this ability productively
  • Experience with Enterprise Saas, Cloud Computing, and large-scale digital transformation initiatives
  • Proven expertise in AWS and/or Azure services, Snowflake (or similar), relational databases, documents stores, key value stores, streaming and messaging systems, Lakehouse architecture, data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and AI/ML frameworks.
  • Architect and execute end-to-end integrations with third-party applications, owning full lifecycle implementation where needed.
  • Data Analytics: Experience with data analytics platforms, including data warehousing, business intelligence, and data science.
  • Experience leading the stand-up and overall Data Governance program, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and implementing robust security practices.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud and Tableau preferred
  • Experience working in the pharma/biotech industry a plus, with knowledge of industry-specific technologies and trends.
